Mr. Scott Kastelic is a veteran international affairs expert who has worked extensively with African and European governments for 15+ years. A retired U.S. Army officer, he has lived and worked in Germany, Iraq, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Mauritania.
Scott has served at a wide variety of assignments with both the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of State, to include three tours at U.S. Embassies in Africa. His final embassy tour was as the Senior Defense Official/Defense Attaché at the U.S. Embassy to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. He has led numerous training teams and engagement efforts throughout Africa and Europe.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a Master of Arts in International Relations with an Africa focus from Ohio University, and a Certificate in French Language from the Defense Language Institute – Foreign Language Center.
